It's TUESDAY! Do ya'll know what that means? Tuesday Topics! This weeks topic is 3 favorite quotes. There are only two weeks left in this Tuesday topics! I am not really a quote lover, but there are some that just stick out in my mind always.
1. "Love is patient, love is kind. Love is slowly losing your mind" - 27 Dresses
As funny as that line in the movie was, I actually love the real 1st Corinthians passage. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves." It describes all the ways you should be when you love another. Not just romantically, but as you love your friends, family, co-workers, and your spouse. You should follow these rules when it comes to love as love is the purest form of emotion.
2. "Collect moments, not things"
To me this describes how I live to a T. (where did that saying come from btw?) I am not a "thing" person. When people ask me what I want for gifts, I can never give an answer. I love just spending quality time with people, experiencing life and just seeing the world. I would much rather have experiences than items.
3. "The Final Bell Tolls, To Early it Seems, Don't Set Aside Your Goals Or Postpone Your Dreams." - Robert O. Saunders
My father wrote this as a part of the cd he created before he passed away. I love it because it's the best statement a person can make. Don't wait....live your life and your dreams. Enjoy every moment because you never know when your time will come.
I know there are many more great quotes out there, but these three are the ones that mean the most to me at this particular juncture in my life!
