The post about the time we saw the guy from LMFAO

Ok so I haven't been blogging because nothing really interesting to talk about has come up. I have been lying low and focusing on my mental health so we haven't been doing too much. Yea, we had the baby shower and family in town, but for the last month that is all that has been exciting....with the exception of the fact that my parents got a puppy...and quit smoking in the same week. That's another story all together.

Last week, D's cousin's from San Jose were in town because their parents went on vacation in the Caribbean....yea we are all very sorry for them. Anyways, we all went to Disneyland on Friday, we thought it would be a good day to go considering school is still in session.....needless to say it was Grad night. We didn't last past 9:30. It's ok though because we all were not used to having children around, and by the end of the day I was spent! Not that they are bad kids, they are wonderful....I was just tired from having to watch where they were at all moments of the day; oh and watching my language. Yea, I am not a super vulgar person, but I do have my moments when I just need to say a cuss word, or something inappropriate like "that's what she said!" We spent Sunday out at the pool with them, Tuesday we saw "Pirates; A Band of Misfits" (Seriously! Minus the like 5 minutes of actual facts I wanted to run away screaming! Facebook, Twitter, Blogger on my phone kept my sanity. Oh yea, it was in 3D too!) Yesterday afternoon, we layed out by the pool and waited for their parents to arrive. After a couple of days of spending time with 2 kids, D and I needed a much adult night out.

Our friend J asked us if we wanted to go see his cousin do standup at Sardo's in Burbank. A little dive bar in the heart of the city that has free stand up on Wednesday's and karaoke. The headliner was the 2007 winner of Last Comic Standing Iliza Shlesinger. The comedy was good from all parties including our friends cousin, we have seen his act and we will continue to go support so long as he is making the rounds, and it was great to get out, hear some inappropriate jokes and laugh all the stress from my body. While watching the show I was positioned in such a way that I could see the entrance. Towards the end of the acts I noticed a man walk in with a very LARGE afro and he went and sat in a back booth. I didn't think any more of it until later. Once the show was over, and I was glancing around for the non-existent waitress for our check(seriously one waitress for an entire bar!) My eyes landed on him again....glasses, a hint of a goatee and super skinny. I turned to D and J and said man that guy looks like he's from LMFAO! We had gotten books for Karaoke, cause I guess this place is also a Karaoke bar and I said "He should sing 'Party Rock!'"  We sat and listened to some people attempt so sound like their icons. Just a note: singing louder does not make you sound better! Although there were a couple of people that could sing very good! I did not get up! I know how people talk! I wasn't going to succumb to peer pressure! Someone sang "Rapper's Delight" and man I didn't know how LONG that song was! My eyes kept landing on the afro and I couldn't help but think could it be? Wikipedia said they were from L.A. and D, J and I just kept discussing the possibilities. J's uncle turned and asked what we were talking about and when we told him, he looked slightly blank faced, as to say "I'm not familiar." So I took out my handy dandy Blackberry (don't judge!) and proceeded to look up a photo. We all looked at it, then back at the guy. He walked by and J's uncle showed him the photo, to which he took out his own phone and showed him the same photo.

That one on the right!
Not overwhelming evidence no, but I was also too chicken to go up to him and ask for fear of being ridiculed or stoned for asking such a question if I was wrong by all the ladies he had at the table with him. He went outside, to smoke I guess, and I wanted to head out so I could ask him, you know in the privacy of the outdoor space, if he was in fact THAT guy. However our waitress took FOREVER to bring the check and by the time I made it out there, he had come back inside. So I never got my answer either, so the entire rest of my life I will go with this.....I saw the guy from LMFAO at a dive bar in Burbank! Not too bad for a Wednesday night....in L.A. Have you had any funny celebrity sightings?
