Busch Gardens
In an effort to cheer ourselves up, Darin and I made a trip into Tampa to visit Busch Gardens. I had been there once as a child but Darin had never been so we thought, what the hell lets give it a go. Of course once we got their I immediately started people watching. It amazes me what humans wear out in public. I think I am going to need to do a what NOT to wear post, but alas that is yet another topic. Originally the park had areas where you could sample different types of beer (the are owned by Anheuser Busch, hence the name) but they removed all that and made it into a more child friendly park. What I didn't realize was that the park was themed after the African continent. They had mini safari rides, and a TON of animals. Is was like a giant zoo with rides. Of course I did not go on any roller coasters, but Darin made his way onto a couple and said that they were really cool. I'll have to take his word on it. I must admit that it would have been nice to have some free alcoholic beverages, due to the heat and crowds by the end of the day I was a teeny bit irritated and that would have calmed me down immensely. There was a really cool Cirque du Solei show that we went and watched. Darin marveled at the strength and flexibility of the women and the balance of the crazy juggler that was in the show. Very entertaining! Anyways, please enjoy the photos from the park (most of them were taken with our point and shoot from moving vehicles, so I apologize for the poor quality) and if you ever find yourself in the Tampa Bay area of Florida needing some entertainment, I recommend Busch Gardens.
