DD Kimball Road: Liebster Award

I'm so honored today! Jackie over at Health, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness nominated me for a Liebster Award! Here's how it works:

There are different rules for this, but I figure the basics are: thank the ones who nominate you by linking to them, write up 11 tidbits about yourself, answer the 11 questions asked by those who nominated you, and then nominate as many bloggers as you'd like. The idea is to nominate blogs under 300 followers (or 200...or 250...I've seen all sorts of different numbers!).

11 Things about Me:

1. I am a natural redhead and I love it! I think it makes me a little more unique. (there are other reasons for my uniqueness, they don't need to be addressed here)

2. I worked at Disneyland for 10 months as a parade performer

3. I play the piano, and kind of play the guitar.....been teaching myself. It's a slow process.

4. When the hubby and I have kids we have our boys name locked down, but have no idea what to name a little girl!

5. Even though I haven't danced in 5 years, I still do pirouettes and high kicks in my living room

6. I like cookie dough more than actual cookies (who doesn't?)

7. I secretly wish I could pull off the pixie hair cut, and that my hubby would let me. I'm sick of long hair!

8. I am obsessed with painting my toenails. I change the color weekly or sooner.

9. I am not embarrassed to have a dance party in my car when I am stuck in traffic.

10. I would love to uproot and move out of my home state of California, but my heart belongs here....for the time being.

11. I am sentimental over memories, not objects. I hate clutter. I keep things for a while and they either get donated to the round file or Goodwill. We love photos, those are our memories. We have over 10,000 just from the last 5 years!

11 Questions from Jackie:

1. Who is your best friend and how long have you known them?
My best friend would have to be my hubby. We have known each other for almost 12 years and each year just gets better and better!

2. What is one food you couldn't live without?
Hmmmm, that one is a toughie. I'm not super into food all that much, but honestly we have been talking about going gluten free for a couple of months and I haven't pulled the trigger because I LOVE my pasta!

3. What kind of phone do you own?
IPhone 4S and I am obsessed!

4. What is your favorite summer activity?
Ooooh, well it used to be going to the beach, but that whole sand in your bikini thing really turns me off....now it's floating on a lake with a nice cold beverage. Speaking of which, we might be doing that tomorrow! And the countdown to our anniversary lake trip has begun....a week and a half baby!

5. What kind of car do you drive?
2003 Pontiac Sunfire. She's old, but she still works!

6. Favorite vacation spot?
I wouldn't say that I have a favorite, because I love to go on vacation and just relax. Anywhere that I can do that is a plus in my book!

7. What is the one phrase you say the most?
Texting, probably LOL or Haha.....I don't really have a verbal phrase that I say a lot. I will have to check with the hubby on that one.

8. Do you have any siblings? If so, how old are they?
No biological siblings, but I have sibling-in-laws. My bro is 28 and my sis is 24.

9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people try to make plans with you and then they completely ignore your calls or text messages. It drives me up the wall. Make a plan and stick with it folks!
