To Cut or Not to cut

For years I have struggled to find a look that I can be happy with. I am a wash and wear type of girl so I don't like things to be too fussy and I especially don't like fussy hair....unless I have the time to style it, but let's be honest....who really has that kind of time? For the last 15+ years I have had long, straight hair. Sure there has been a couple of times in between where I have chopped it and then let it grow back out. My hair grows so fast that nobody even notices!
2002....the only time in our relationship where
my hair was above shoulder length.
I have been battling with Darin to let me chop it off. I keep telling him that its just hair and it will grow back! I think I have finally gotten to the point where I can do it. I convinced him that after all the wedding festivities this year that I want to cut my hair chin length. My argument was that I have been needing a change for some time now. All I ask is that I try it out. If he hates it completely then I just grow it out again. Besides then I can make another donation to Locks of Love.

Below are a couple of ideas that I had. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Had to throw in a longer one.
All I ask is that my decision is supported! I know many of my friends love my hair long, but I need a change and I think this is the easiest way to do it. Or I could get a tattoo? Thoughts?

  1. I think if you want to cut your hair, then you should. It's just hair, it'll grow back. Remember, I chopped off my hair right after we got engaged; I couldn't take it anymore. Don't hold off because of us; the stylist can do whatever you'd like her to do no matter the length of your hair. Well, unless you want it longer, then not so much, unless you bring some extensions. Besides, we love you for more than just your hair. hehe. My opinion, for what it's worth, is the first look, though #1 & #2 are very similar. I love the edgyness and cutness of the first cut and I think it would frame your face nicely and fit your personality well. I don't like the last cut, it's cute but I think it would be too long so much so that it might make your face look longer. That's the problem with some cuts, I've found that although I love them in a magazine when I have my hair done similar they make my face look weird because they aren't flattering to my shape. Maybe try one of those hairstyle apps where you can try on all different styles and lengths? That way you can see what the end result would be. But I say, JUST DO IT! :D

  2. Cut it baby! Keep in mind though, that shorter hair requires MORE styling, not less. I think me and you have the same hair type - straight! I never blow dry mine or use any product. When I had shorter hair, I had to blow dry it and style it. Otherwise mine laid flat and looked strange! Ask for a consultation with a real stylist - she can give you recommendations for your face shape, like Hope said, and your hair type!

  3. What is it with guys and long hair? My vote is for LC's cut. I think they would all look cute on you but that is my favorite and it isn't too short so the hubby might adjust better. I'm excited to see you with bangs. Sometimes you just need to cut it all off to feel a sense of power. And come on, we are women, we love to mix things up. I move furniture.
