So this post is super behind, but that doesn't mean I can't write about it right? At the beginning of April we celebrated a really big thing in our family. My brother-in-law graduated from the Sheriff's Academy. This has been a lifelong dream of his, and despite the waiting, many long hours of training and everything in between his hard work, patience and dedication has finally paid off. I mean that's what being a Sheriff is all about really. We went to his pre-graduation family night and was fed yummy foods, important to preggos, watched a funny/eye opening video on what training really is, and there were also awards. It was interesting to look at the photo's that were taken and just see my hubby's little bro in action, all-be-it in a closed situation. Something that we will not get to see on a daily basis. I found it incredibly interesting and very honorable.
A couple of days later was the actual ceremony. They marched along around the campus of our local community college. It's very nice to see a large group of people so in sync with one another. There was a pinning ceremony, which I did not get to see but the hubby did, I was in the auditorium trying to reserve our seats. The actual graduation was relatively short. With speakers and of course receiving their certificates of completion. My in-laws took their photos with him, and they also took a photo with the entire class.
After the ceremony we had a huge party in celebration of his accomplishment. Family and friends were all around to toast (I had cranberry juice) his success and wish him well in his upcoming career. Coming from a military background I truly honor and respect his decision to go into law enforcement. Thank you for taking the oath to keep us safe bro! We love you!
